OUR STORY
Behind the Scenes
Here at Alleviate, we’re committed to supporting domestic and family violence survivors experiencing abuse, especially during COVID-19 lockdowns. Alongside our partners, we hope to bring some hope to those struggling with mental and physical hardship with our app and potential expansions. THE PROBLEM
What's Happening?
IMPACTS OF COVID-19 ON DFV VICTIMS
With COVID-19 shutting down the majority of Australia, we have all been isolated in our homes for many days, weeks, and months. For some, it has offered time to be more productive or find mental stability. But for those with abusive partners, it is a prison-like sentence. Many Australian's have found themselves trapped at home, isolated from their friends, family, and support systems, at the hands of their abusers. Many services are unable to support the sheer amount of people needing help and therefore, these people will go unsupported.
